The park half day
Souss-Massa National Park covers 33,800 hectares and was created in 1991, according to the listings. The guided half day leaves the hotel around 8:00 or 8:30 (the time varies by listing), after about an hour's drive. It includes park entry, an air-conditioned vehicle, driver and guide. One listing says both that food is not included and that you should bring water and snacks: pack something to eat. A version with lunch is no longer sold on GetYourGuide: pack your own meal. Travellers report flamingos, ostriches and gazelles, but a day without flamingos happens.
The short version: camel ride on the river
The camel ride (an offer no longer sold on GetYourGuide) follows the Souss river through a eucalyptus wood. One traveller regrets having no binoculars and a very short flamingo stop: bring binoculars. For a sunset version, see camel and flamingos at dusk.
Before booking
- Season: flamingos are migratory; ask about the latest sighting.
- Departure: confirm the time and pick-up point.
- Meal: know what is included.
- Alternatives: more outings in excursions from Agadir; for nature further away, the Paradise Valley.
Frequently asked questions
