Taroudant and Tiout

The Taroudant and Tiout day trip with tagine leaves from hotels in Agadir or Taghazout. On the programme: the Taroudant souk (crafts, pottery, silver jewellery, leather), a climb on the ramparts, then the Tiout oasis, its palm grove and kasbah, and lunch (tagine or couscous). Reviews are mixed: little free time at the souk, groups sometimes too large, ramparts closed one day and goats in the argan trees depending on the season. To prepare, see our Taroudant page.

Essaouira

The Agadir to Essaouira day trip includes a visit of the medina and the Atlantic coast, often with a stop at an argan cooperative. Expect a long day. To choose between the two towns, read Essaouira or Agadir and Essaouira in 2 days.

Sahara, Tiznit and Sidi R'bat

The desert day from Agadir combines dunes, a camel ride, a Berber lunch, Sidi R'bat beach (where fishermen live in caves carved into the cliff) and Tiznit, a silversmiths' town. It is not the deep Sahara (see Zagora or Merzouga), but a way to get sand in one day.
