The official ticket: price, hours, how to buy
The tombs are run by the Ministry of Culture, like the Bahia Palace and the El Badi Palace. Prices read on 30 October 2026: 100 MAD for a foreign adult, 50 MAD for a child aged 7 to 13, 30 MAD for Moroccans and residents. Since April 2025 the ministry's online platform sells the same ticket at the same price, with a QR code on your phone. Hours: every day, 9am to 5pm; some guides report 10am to 4pm during Ramadan. Our page on the Saadian Tombs covers the visit itself, which takes 30 to 45 minutes.
The combined tour with the Bahia and the Koutoubia
The GetYourGuide listing is a guided tour combining the Bahia Palace, the tombs and the Koutoubia Mosque. For the mosque, expect a stop in front of the minaret and in the gardens: it is not open to non-Muslims. On comparable tours sold by other platforms, monument entry fees are not included, so read the "included" section before paying, then add 100 MAD per monument. See the offer.
Pitfalls
- The queue. It forms in front of the Hall of Twelve Columns whatever ticket you hold: an online ticket only spares you the ticket window.
- The time. Tour groups arrive between 10am and 11:30am; at 9am you are almost alone.
- The fake guide. Someone telling you at the entrance of the Kasbah that the site is closed is trying to lead you elsewhere: see scams to avoid in Marrakech.
- Old prices. A 70 MAD ticket no longer appears on the official listings we read.
Which option to choose
- Self-guided: the official ticket, online if you want to skip the ticket window, and arrive at 9am.
- To understand the dynasties: the combined guided tour, or a licensed guide (see guided tours in Marrakech).
- Several monuments in one morning: our guide to monument tickets and hours suggests an order.
- Lunch afterwards: where to eat near the Saadian Tombs.
Frequently asked questions
How much is the Saadian Tombs entrance fee? 100 MAD for a foreign adult, the price we read on 30 October 2026.
Can I buy the ticket online? Yes, on the Ministry of Culture platform, at the same price as at the gate. It does not remove the queue at the Hall of Twelve Columns.
