Terres d'Amanar: tree-top adventure and ziplines near Marrakech, prices and access

Updated on October 8, 2026

About 35 minutes from Marrakech, on the foothills of the High Atlas near Tahannaout, Terres d'Amanar is an outdoor leisure estate set in nature. People come for the treetop adventure courses, the ziplines facing the Atlas peaks, the suspension bridges, mountain biking, archery or horse riding. It welcomes families, with a course adapted to children from age 3, and has an eco-lodge for staying overnight.

Highlights

The tree courses and suspension bridges

The tree courses and suspension bridges

Rope bridges and walkways link the trees, with several levels of difficulty. One course is reserved for children aged 3 to 8, who progress safely at the foot of the trees, accompanied by their parents.

The big zipline

This is the estate's star attraction: it is billed as the biggest zipline in North Africa, with an open view of the Atlas peaks, snow-capped in winter. It is best booked in advance, especially at weekends.

The other activities

Mountain biking (including electric), hiking, climbing, archery, horse riding, craft workshops and a swimming pool: enough to fill a whole day. The estate holds the Green Key eco-label.

Tips

The treetop course costs about 210 DH per person (price found in the press and on travel sites in October 2026; prices vary by activity and season, and the official site refers to its booking portal or to the phone). Book before you come, especially at weekends and during Moroccan school holidays. Wear closed shoes and loose clothing, and tie back long hair; a harness is compulsory and each course has its own age and height requirements. Organised excursions from Marrakech, with transport and a Berber breakfast, generally cost more than driving yourself.

How to get there

About 35 minutes by car from Marrakech, along the Tahannaout road (R203, towards Asni and Ouirgane), then a minor road to Douar Akli. By taxi, negotiate a round trip with waiting time. The simplest solution remains a private transfer or an organised excursion. Address: Douar Akli, commune of Tahannaout, Al Haouz province. Phone: +212 662 300 549; email: [email protected].

Opening hours

Best: In spring and autumn
Hours vary by activity and season; booking recommended (check with the estate before you go)
