The official ticket
The El Badi Palace is run by the Ministry of Culture. Prices read on 30 October 2026: 100 MAD for a foreign adult, 50 MAD for a foreign child aged 7 to 13, 30 MAD for Moroccans and residents (10 MAD for a child). Entry is free for visitors with reduced mobility. The online ticket office showed no promotional offers that day. Our page on the El Badi Palace describes the courtyard of 135 by 110 metres, the terraces and the storks, which nest on the rammed-earth walls and fly across the courtyard.
The skip-the-line guided tour with the Bahia
The GetYourGuide listing combines both palaces and the Saadian Tombs in one guided tour. The appeal is the historical thread: the Saadians built El Badi, the Alaouites dismantled it, and the much later Bahia shows what a standing palace looks like. "Skip the line" applies to the ticket window only: in front of the Hall of Twelve Columns at the tombs, the queue remains. Check the duration, the meeting point and whether entry fees are included. Pitfalls
- The sun. The courtyard has almost no shade: come at 9am, or after 4pm in summer.
- The stairs. The terraces are reached by narrow steps, with no handrail on some stretches.
- Fridays. Entry is free for Moroccans only; foreign visitors pay the normal price.
- The improvised guide. Avoid people who approach you in front of the entrance: see scams to avoid in Marrakech.
Which option to choose
- El Badi on its own: the official ticket, at opening time, with an hour on site.
- Two palaces and the tombs in one day: the guided tour, or our comparison Bahia, El Badi or Dar Si Said.
- Several monuments on a budget: the monument tickets and hours guide.
- Another palace: the Bahia Palace, ten minutes' walk away.
