Where Kawkab play in 2026-2027
Kawkab Athletic Club of Marrakech (KACM) plays in Morocco's top division, the Botola Pro. The 2026-2027 season began on 24 September 2026. The club played several 2025-2026 matches at the Grand Stade, then returned to its old ground, El Harti, in February 2026, once a joint commission (local authorities, security services and the National Professional Football League) had validated the stadium's compliance. As long as the Grand Stade stays closed, Kawkab's home matches are played at El Harti.

The Grand Stade: closed until late 2028
The Grand Stade de Marrakech, on the Safi road, opened in 2011. It hosted the FIFA Club World Cup in 2013 and 2014 and eight matches of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. It has been closed since early 2026 for a reconstruction that will remove the athletics track, reshape the stands and raise capacity to about 46,000, as it is one of the stadiums selected for the 2030 World Cup. Reopening is announced for late 2028: no match or concert is possible there until then.

Which matches to see
- Kawkab in the Botola Pro: the best regular option. Fixtures against the big Casablanca clubs, such as Wydad or Raja, draw the biggest crowds.
- The Throne Cup and other cup ties, whose venue is set by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation.
- National team matches: they are spread across several stadiums in the country; the federation announces the venue of each game, and there is no guarantee of a match in Marrakech.
Matches are most often played in the late afternoon or evening; the exact date and time are only known a few days ahead.
How to buy a ticket
We could not confirm a tourist ticket office or a single ticketing platform for every match. The rule is simple: buy only through the channels announced by the club, the League or the federation for the match in question, and beware of street resellers around the stadium. For a big match tickets go fast, so check as soon as the calendar is announced. Your hotel or riad can also ask on your behalf.
As a rough guide, for a league match played at the Grand Stade in the 2025-2026 season, published prices were 30 dirhams in the popular stand, 60 dirhams for the away section, 100 dirhams in the west stand and 200 dirhams in the VIP area. They vary with the opponent and the stadium; they are not El Harti prices.
Getting there and behaving at the ground
- Petit taxi: from the medina or Guéliz, insist on the meter, and see our guide to getting around Marrakech. After the match, walk a little before looking for a free taxi.
- Papers and bags: take your passport or an ID, and leave big bags and glass objects at the hotel.
- Pockets: keep your phone and wallet close in the crowd at the entrance.
- Colours: Kawkab and their rivals have passionate supporters; avoid wearing a rival club's shirt in the home fans' stand.
- Alcohol: do not expect to drink at the stadium; see alcohol in Marrakech.
