Quad ride in the palm grove and Jbilat desert: the most booked

This listing is rated 4.8 from 13,887 reviews in our October 2026 check, from €16 per person. It includes hotel pickup, about 2 hours on the quad, a tea break and a photo stop in the palm grove. It is not suitable for children under 4, and those under 13 ride behind an adult. One traveller found the driving time shorter than advertised because of transfers, and another regretted the lack of air conditioning in the vehicle.

Agafay or Palmeraie?

The Palmeraie is about 30 minutes from the medina: flat tracks between palm trees, a partly urban landscape. The Agafay desert takes about 1.5 hours round trip and offers stony hills, long tracks and the Atlas as a backdrop; this is where the dinner packages are. For age, licence and safety rules, read our guide quad, buggy and camel in Marrakech.

Palm Grove and Jbilat (Meilleur Quad): a longer buggy ride

This offer was seen at $77, rated 4.9 from 73 reviews, for 3 hours. Another page of the same operator shows 4.7 from 46 reviews, with one traveller finding the driving time much shorter than advertised: ask for the real time behind the wheel. It is the most complete choice on the Palmeraie side.

Quad Exception: the most reviews, for a mid price

This listing shows 4.9 from 521 reviews and sells for $46 to $58 depending on the display, with hotel pickup. The 1000 cc buggies are limited to 60 km/h, which some travellers find restrictive. At least two participants are needed per buggy. One review notes about two hours of driving on varied terrain.

Small-group Agafay: quad, camel and lunch

This day costs $88 for 6 hours, rated 4.9 from 136 reviews, with 5 people at most and lunch included. The camel ride is part of the package, not a reason to choose it. It is the calmest offer in the comparison.

Private buggy in Agafay and the lake: the premium option

This offer comes in versions from 1 hour with a tea break (from $91) to 6 hours with a camel ride, dinner show and pool access (from $137). Rated 4.3 from 180 reviews, it has the lowest score in the comparison: check the chosen option on screen. See also Lake Lalla Takerkoust, next to Agafay.

Agafay with dinner: the all-inclusive evening

This package starts at $41, with 4.5 from 986 reviews. You choose quad or camel, then have dinner with a show. Reviews also mention the buggy and the pool. Driving time stays short on this type of evening; if the dinner is what attracts you, compare our Agafay dinner show page first.

Palmeraie dunes: quad and tea

This offer is rated 4.8 out of 5 from 7,040 reviews, from about €19 per person (seen in October 2026). It offers a quad ride in the Palmeraie with a tea break, close to the medina rather than on the Agafay tracks. We could not confirm the length: check it on the listing before booking.

What is not included, and the pitfalls

  • Driving time: the listing counts transfer, tea breaks and explanations. Ask for the real minutes behind the wheel.
  • Transfer: about 30 minutes to the Palmeraie, about 1.5 hours round trip for Agafay.
  • Buggy: driving licence and minimum age required, see the guide; a price may be per buggy rather than per person (a private Palmeraie buggy was seen at $159 per group of 2).
  • Equipment: helmet, fuel and instructor should be included; check before paying.
  • Dust: cover nose and mouth; goggles or a scarf help.
  • Camel: when a camel ride is included, it is one part of the package, not a criterion for choosing.
  • Heat: in summer, choose early morning or sunset.

Which offer should you choose?

  • Most booked, small budget: the quad ride in the palm grove and Jbilat desert, from €16 (4.8 from 13,887 reviews).
  • First time, close to the city: buggy in the Palmeraie (Jbilat or Quad Exception).
  • Scenery: small-group Agafay.
  • Couple or group wanting comfort: private buggy in Agafay.
  • Full evening: Agafay with dinner.
  • Mid budget: Quad Exception, but with at least two people.
  • Family with children: quad or buggy as a passenger depending on age; see Marrakech with children.
