What you are really buying

All of these follow the same script: a minibus collects you in the city in mid-afternoon, drives about an hour to the Agafay desert, settles you in a camp for sunset, then serves a Moroccan dinner with music, dancing and a fire show before the drive back around 10 pm. A camel ride is included in most offers and it is short (about twenty minutes on the listings we read). The differences are the length, the added activities and how many travellers share the same camp.

Marrakech Day Trips: the cheapest offer

This offer starts at $20 with a stated duration of about 6 hours, including an hour on the road. It is rated 4.3 from 1,193 reviews, the lowest score of the selection. Travellers praise the sunset, the music and the fire show; some would like clearer pickup times. The title calls the camel ride "optional": check on the listing whether it is included before paying.

Travel Sky Morocco: the safe pick

This option leaves at 4 pm and returns around 10 pm. The programme: an optional stop at the Lalla Takerkoust dam, a camel ride, dinner (harira, salad, beef and chicken tagine, fruit and tea) and a visit to an argan cooperative. Rating 4.8 from 3,342 reviews. One traveller found the camel ride short, another called the whole thing very touristy, which is true of almost every offer of this kind.

Amzil Group: camel, dinner and fire

This offer lasts about 5 hours and includes the transfer, a sunset camel ride, dinner, a dance and fire show and a visit to a women's argan oil cooperative. It is rated 4.7 from 163 reviews, a smaller sample than the two above. The meeting point can be Hotel Islane or a restaurant used as a photo stop. We did not record its price: check it for your date.

Quad, camel ride and dinner show

This offer adds a quad ride on the tracks. It is rated 4.8 from 45,784 reviews, the most reviewed in our selection, from €36 in our October 2026 check. The similar listings we saw count roughly 30 to 40 minutes of quad, two people per bike, and 15 to 20 minutes of camel. A solo quad costs about €10 extra on one of them. If you want a proper quad route, read our guide to quad and camel rides in Marrakech first, which covers minimum age and equipment.

Sunset dinner with pool

This formula lasts 4 hours from $21 and lists the pool, Saharan outfit, water and tea as included, with a camel ride of about 20 minutes. The pool is only worth it on a warm evening: in winter, bring a jacket instead. Also check how long you really spend at the camp, since 4 hours include the drives.

If you want more: overnight or private dinner

Two variants fall outside the comparison. An overnight stay with dinner, show and pool was seen at about $97 per person. A private dinner with music and a fire show also exists, but its price varies enormously between views ($73 to $252 depending on the display): work out the total for your group before booking. All offers in the area are gathered in the Marrakech: Agafay Desert Sunset, Camel Riding, and Dinner Show.

Quad and dinner show: heavily reviewed

This offer is rated 4.7 out of 5 from 26,213 reviews, from about €20 per person (seen in October 2026). It offers a quad ride followed by a dinner show; the listing title does not mention a camel ride, so check if that matters to you. We could not confirm the length: check it on the listing before booking.

Quad, camel and dinner: the full package

This offer is rated 4.6 out of 5 from 4,495 reviews, from about €27 per person (seen in October 2026). It adds the camel ride to the quad and the dinner show, for a complete evening. We could not confirm the length: check it on the listing before booking.

What is not included, and the pitfalls

  • Pickup: delays are the most frequent complaint. Confirm the place and time the day before, be ready ten minutes early, and keep the operator's number.
  • Extras on site: a Berber outfit or scarf to buy (one traveller quotes 100 dirhams for a scarf, optional), a solo quad, drinks at dinner, tips.
  • Camel ride: it is brief and at walking pace. If that is your main goal, a dedicated outing is nicer; otherwise do not count it as the main attraction.
  • Atmosphere: these evenings are organised for groups. Expect crowds, guides who take lots of photos and a fairly touristy evening.
  • Scenery: stony hills and the Atlas in the distance, no dunes. For sand, see our comparison of the deserts near Marrakech.

Which offer to choose?

  • Most booked: the quad, camel ride and dinner show, from €36 (4.8 from 45,784 reviews).
  • Tight budget: Marrakech Day Trips or the pool offer, at $20-21, accepting less precise timings.
  • First visit: Travel Sky Morocco, the best rated and most reviewed.
  • Couple: Amzil Group, or the private dinner if your budget allows, for a quieter evening.
  • Family: the pool formula, without quad.
  • Group of friends: quad, camel and dinner, sharing the cost.
  • A longer evening: the overnight stay, which avoids the drive back in the dark.

Booking at the best time

Summer evenings are hot and winter ones cool: bring a sweater from November to February. Book a few days ahead in high season. The Travel Sky Morocco offer shows free cancellation; read the terms on each listing, as they can differ.
