Ensemble Artisanal Marrakech: fixed-price crafts, opening hours and tips

Updated on October 1, 2026

The Ensemble Artisanal is a public complex of craft shops and workshops on Avenue Mohammed V, between the Koutoubia and the Bab Nkob gate, next to the Cyber Park. Around its patios and walkways it brings together artisans from several trades: leather goods, babouches, carpets, pottery, carved wood, copperware, lanterns, jewellery, textiles and argan oil cosmetics. Prices are displayed and fixed, which makes it a good benchmark before you go haggling in the souks. Quieter than the medina, it also lets you watch some artisans at work in their shops.

The ochre façade, with its zellige fountains and carved doorway, marks the complex, next door to the regional crafts directorate. Entry is free and no one asks you to buy.

The artisans' workshops

In several shops, the artisan makes on site what he sells: loom weaving, embroidery, wood marquetry, copper chasing or babouche stitching. Ask before taking photos.

Reference prices

The price tags tell you what a carpet, a lantern or a pair of babouches costs before you enter the souks. Write them down: it is the best way to know whether an offer made in the medina is reasonable.
