The train: cheaper, but with a change
There is no direct train between Mohammed V airport and Marrakech. A rail shuttle links the airport to Casablanca, roughly one train an hour from 6 am to 11 pm according to the Moroccan press (summer 2026). You then change at Casa-Voyageurs for the direct Marrakech train, about 2 h 40, described in Marrakech – Casablanca: train, bus or transfer. Allow for the connection and check the last evening departure: a late flight can make you miss the last train. At the other end, Marrakech station is a few minutes by taxi from Guéliz; for the medina, take a petit taxi. Works linked to the future high-speed line may change timetables: check the ONCF site.
The three private transfers compared
The three offers look alike: a driver meets you on arrival and takes you to the address of your choice in Marrakech, by car or minibus. Possible differences are the announced duration (2 to 3.5 hours), the vehicle and flight tracking: read the meeting point, luggage allowance and cancellation policy. We could not compare the detailed conditions of the three pages (first, second, third): read them on screen. Compare the final price for your number of passengers rather than the "from" price.
Pitfalls to avoid
- No precise address: give the hotel or riad name; cars cannot reach every part of the medina, so the driver will drop you at the nearest gate.
- Delayed flight: check that the driver tracks your flight and what happens after a long delay.
- Duration: 2 to 3.5 hours is a wide range; add the time to leave the airport.
- Taxis on the spot: agree the price before getting in, or prefer a booked transfer.
