Pierre Bergé Museum of Berber Arts (Berber Museum): hours, tickets and visit
Housed in Jacques Majorelle's former painting studio, in the heart of the Majorelle Garden, the Pierre Bergé Museum of Berber Arts (formerly the Berber Museum) presents more than 600 objects gathered by Pierre Bergé and Yves Saint Laurent: jewellery, clothing, carpets, weapons, pottery and musical instruments. Opened in 2011, it introduces the creativity of Berber peoples, from the Rif to the Sahara. It needs its own ticket: the Majorelle Garden ticket does not include the museum, but a combined ticket exists.
Highlights

Berber jewellery
Fibulae, silver necklaces, amber, coral and enamel make up the finest collection of the visit, shown in a dim room punctuated by blue reflections.
Costumes and textiles
Coats, veils and embroidery show how styles differ from one region to another, from the Atlas mountains to the southern oases.
The staging
Four themed spaces and audiovisual elements put the objects back into their daily, ritual or festive use.

Tips
Tickets are bought online in advance on the Majorelle Garden's official site. The standard price is 60 MAD; it is 35 MAD for Moroccan residents and foreign students, and 20 MAD for Moroccan students. Entry is free for children under 10, people with disabilities and official guides (prices checked in October 2026). The museum is accessible to visitors with reduced mobility. Allow 30 to 45 minutes; to avoid queues, arrive at opening time and combine it with the neighbouring garden and Yves Saint Laurent museum.
How to get there
Rue Yves Saint Laurent, 40090 Marrakech, inside the Majorelle Garden, in Guéliz. Taxi: ask for "Jardin Majorelle"; it is the simplest option from the medina (metered, about 10 to 15 minutes depending on traffic).
